We just had our new disposal installed and we are absolutely amazed at how quiet and smooth it is. We had it installed with a 604 stainless steel Blanco sink and quartz counter tops.
The 604 stainless sink is much heavier and thicker than our previous sink and the quartz tops are also much heavier than our previous laminate tops so this may help some as well to dampen the sound but I think most of the credit has to go to Insinkerator.
