If your goal is to make a small amount of great ice cream a few times a week, this is the item to purchase. Of course, you do need to have a KitchenAid stand mixer of any variety. This attachment is much more financially viable than other products I looked at.
The ice cream comes out soft, which is obtained after a few hours in the freezer. This attachment makes ice cream that reminds me of the ice cream made in the old fashioned crank apparatus at my grandparents home when I was a child.
